Virgin Media launched in February 2007 and is today the second biggest
ISP in the UK. Virgin Media were created when Telewest, NTL and Virgin
merged. Virgin Media were the first UK operator to offer a quad of
products; TV, Broadband, Landline Phone, and Mobile Phone services.
Virgin Media are the UK's only major
cable operator, and if you are in a Virgin cable area you can not only
benefit from all 4 services, but you can achieve super fast broadband.
Generally speaking, cable broadband is much faster than the telephone equivalent.
What we think
Not only are Virgin Media the
only provider to offer all five communications services, but they offer
innovations with among other things, "the UK's fastest
broadband". There prices are extremely competitive, if you take
several services you will save more money. Their 50Mb broadband is
completely unrivalled, with the competition unable to even come close!
