In order to achieve the
most accurate results from this test you must first cease all
other internet activity. Close all other web browser windows,
and close any inter software, including instant messaging
software. Once the test has completed and your results are
displayed, you may start using them again.
How the test works
This test works by
downloading a file from our server to your computer. Our online
software calculates the length of time it takes to download this
file, and thus how fast your download speed is. The upload test
works in the same way, but in reverse, we upload one of the
files that we have just downloaded and calculate how long it
takes to upload.
ANY INTERNET ACTIVITY THAT TAKES
PLACE DURING THE TEST, WILL EFFECT THE RESULTS.
